WELCOME TO OUR 3rd Grade CLASS!!class informationReminders:
STUDENT OF THE WEEK Monday: (1) Share your character traits paper. We will display this in the classroom for the week. See example picture. You are welcome to be more creative or make one like the picture. To help you think of character traits, there is also a PDF document below. There are of course many other traits that are not on this paper. (2) You will also be given your Flat Stanley. You color and cut him out. Take pictures of him with you throughout the week. Share your adventures with him on Friday. To share you can print the pictures out and create a collage. Or you can email them to Mrs. Durham to show on the computer. character_traits_handouts__1_.pdf Tuesday: Mrs. Durham will give you our class Spotlight binder. You will get to take it home tonight to look through with your family. Please make sure to return it by Thursday. Wednesday: Find a poem that you enjoy. It can be a poem from a book, the Internet, or one that you wrote yourself. Practice reading it at home several times beforehand. Bring it in on this day to share with the class. Thursday: Today is an item of your choice (no food or pets). You may choose something special to you to share. It needs to be able to fit in your backpack so it can safely go to and from school. If you prefer, you could also do a brief lesson (less than five minutes) for the class. For example, you could teach them how to make a figure out of origami or some other special talent you want to share. Friday: Share your adventures with Flat Stanley from the week. To share you can print the pictures out and create a collage. Or you can email them to Mrs. Durham to show on the computer.
