I'm Brittany Nagler (Nay-gler). I have been teaching in Franklin County for the past 10 years but I am new to Oldham County and Goshen. I cannot wait to meet you and your families and get the year started.
I currently live in Louisville, KY. I moved there about two years ago from Frankfort where I have spent most of my life. I attended college at the University of Kentucky, got my masters at the Georgetown College with a reading and writing endorsement, and then finally completed my National Board Certification in 2014. I have an amazing husband and 3 great boys. Life in our household is always entertaining! We love all animals but currently have two cats, Biscuit and Bacon, who act more like dogs. Teaching is my passion! At first I wanted to be a pastry chef but my calling took me down a different path (although I still love baking, when I make time). Kindness and effort are what I value most in my classroom. Everyone is special and unique in their own way and we celebrate our differences. Not only do we celebrate our differences, but we also celebrate our success AND failures. One of my goals is to help each child learn how to have a positive growth mindset. It is through our failures that we can grow and become better. Failures should not discourage us, but should keep us thinking, trying, and moving forward until we reach our goals and grow. I look forward to this year and growing with all of you! |
